Over 300 students have graduated from the Igando-Ikotun LCDA vocational training school for the year 2019.
The students learnt various skills including bead-making, computer training, GSM engineering, Catering and Hotel Management, Cosmetology and Hairdressing, Fashion Design, Graphics design and Shoe and Bag Making.
The graduation ceremony, which held inside the council secretariat hall, had in attendance top-ranking council and party officials.
The Council, Chairman, Morenike Adesina-Williams, described the graduation as a celebration of success of the third tier of government in empowering the bonafide and unemployed adults both educationally and economically.
Adesina-Williams advised the graduands to use the skills acquired to the economic advantage of their families and communities.
She also appealed to parents and guardians to enrol their children in the school, especially before gaining admission into tertiary institutions so as to keep them gainfully occupied.
Highlight of the event was a display of items produced by the graduands.
