The Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, has sworn in newly appointed Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers.
He charged them to demonstrate commitment and deliver effectively on their mandates in service to the people.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Council Secretariat in Ipaja, attracted key stakeholders, including councillors led by the House Leader, Hon. Bamidele Faruk; the Council Manager, Mrs. Bankole Bawa; the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Ahmad Adeyinka Yusuff; the Party Chairman, Hon. Wole Aina; as well as party leaders, community representatives, traditional rulers, and other well-wishers.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Agbaje congratulated the newly inaugurated officials and stressed the importance of dedication, innovation, and measurable impact in governance.
He urged them to adopt practical solutions to community challenges and remain proactive in the discharge of their duties.
“The people are looking up to us to deliver, and we must not fail them,” he said.
The Chairman further underscored the need for teamwork, collaboration, and accessibility in leadership.
“Together, we can achieve great things for Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA. Your doors must remain open to the people, and you must listen to their concerns,” he added.
In his remarks, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Ahmad Adeyinka Yusuff, reminded the appointees that the confidence reposed in them comes with significant responsibility.
He urged them to align with the administration’s vision and support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in delivering the dividends of democracy at the grassroots.
Responding, the newly sworn-in officials pledged to discharge their duties with diligence, integrity, transparency, and accountability.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to advancing development within the LCDA and improving the welfare of residents.
The Party Chairman, Hon. Wole Aina, commended the Executive Chairman’s leadership and expressed confidence in the administration’s ability to fulfill its promises to the people.
The ceremony concluded with a call for unity, cooperation, and sustained collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the success of the administration.
