The All Progressives Congress Candidate for Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Adeola Olamilekan Solomon, has attributed the auto accident that claimed the life of Media aide to the Amuwo Odofin local government chairman to overspeeding.

Citng a Nigerian Police report of the incident that claimed three other lives, Senator Solomon said the accident occured as a result of “over speeding and reckless driving” by the driver of Amuwo Odofin LGA chairman, Hon. Valentine Buraimoh’s pilot SUV while attempting to join his campaign convoy.

The senator has, however, condoled the family of the late Irikefe Evwibovwe, and members of the Conference CPS 57 for the loss.

In a condolence message conveyed through a statement signed today by his media aide, Mr Kayode Odunaro, Senator Adeola urged members of Enwibovwe family and Conference CPS 57 to take heart on the unfortunate demise of their member.

He said that only God knows why the ugly incident happened at this time of political campaign.

“I am saddened by the loss of one of your members and have condoled with the Council Chairman on the day of the accident. I look forward to visiting the family of the deceased at the earliest opportunity to personally condole with his family as well as render assistance,” the senator said.

The Amuwo Odofin LG boss, Mr Valentine Buraimoh had expressed sadness, saying that the senator should have suspended the rally because of the incident.

“We are human beings, even an animal demands little respect, let alone individual lives,” he said.

The council boss expresed his view when members of the Association of Chief Press Secretaries, Conference 57 CPS, paid him a condolence visit at his Lakeview Estate residence in Amuwo-Odofin yesterday.
