All Progressives Party, APC, Women leaders across 36 wards and six local government areas in Alimosho Federal Constituency, today, paid a solidarity visit the Apex leader, Alhaji Abdullahi Enilobo.

The women said the visit was to pledge their loyalty to the party and to assure its leadership of their unflinching support.

The solidarity visit to Enilobo came as some members of the party, going by the name Alimosho New Movement, are currently challenging his leadership and seeking his removal as the leader in the Federal Constituency.

But, the women leaders, who acknowledged the activities of the group, described the agitations as “unnecessary,” saying it is the work of those who do not mean well for the APC.

“We are aware of the unnecessary agitations of those who do not mean well for our party and we, across the Constituency, pledge our loyalty to the leadership of Enilolobo.

“We remain grateful to the Apex leader and on behalf of the womenfolks, who have benefitted immensely in terms of appointment and also elective offices,” they said.

Enilolobo, while welcoming the women, assured them of the party’s willingness to increase their participation in governance.

He said that their support has been valuable to the party and that the Leadership appreciates their commitment to promoting the ideals of the party.

Media Aide to Enilolobo, Alani Kazeem, in a statement, said the Apex leader thanked the women for the solidarity visit and promised that the party would not relent in bringing everybody on board.
