The Annual Couples’ Hangout in Alimosho has come and gone but the thrills, fun and razzmatazz that often characterise the event still linger in the memories of participants.
It was not just a moment to catch fun alone, the event gave couples the opportunity to reconnect emotionally and spiritually in a relaxed and serene atmosphere.
The programme, with the theme, One Heart, One Home, was also meant to help couples recommit themselves to playing their respective roles and responsibilities with love, patience, and gratitude, in addition to balancing rights and duties in the home based on mutual understanding, not rigid cultural norms.
In a his opening remark, Alhaji Abdul Ganiy Ayorinde, while reminiscing on the last edition which focused on the need for couples to reignite their love sparks, said this year’s edition was about taking a step further towards intimacy, understanding and collaborations that will keep the hearts of couples together to nurture peaceful homes.

The two guest speakers, Alhaji Abdulhameed Solate and Hajia Monsurah AbdufFatah, highlighted practical tips on fostering love, raising children with Islamic values, and resolving conflict in a prophetic manner.

This year’s Hangout was spiced with Ewi from Akeko Ede Omo Iyabode and other fun-filled activities such as couples games, ‘Waka’ Slido game and others.
Below are some of the beautiful moments captured by Community Standard.
