It would be recalled that operatives of the Lagos State Police Command on Sunday raided identified criminal hideouts at Boolar and Super Ile-Epo, located near the Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat.
AGBADO OKE-ODO, LAGOS – The Executive Chairman of Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Abiodun Jimoh Ishola Ejigbadero, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to proactive governance and community safety.
He gave the commitment at the Executive Council Meeting and the Monthly Peace and Security Meeting held on Monday at the Council Secretariat, Abule Egba.
The Executive Council Meeting brought together members of the council to deliberate on key policy issues, developmental priorities, and strategic administrative decisions aimed at improving governance and enhancing service delivery across the LCDA.
Following the council session, the chairman presided over the Monthly Peace and Security Meeting, which had in attendance security agencies, community leaders, and other critical stakeholders.
The meeting focused on assessing the security situation within the council area, strengthening intelligence sharing, and reinforcing collaborative measures to safeguard lives and property.
Speaking on the significance of the meetings, Hon. Ejigbadero said effective governance requires deliberate planning, collaboration, and timely action to address emerging challenges before they escalate.
He noted that the twin meetings underscore his administration’s resolve to promote strategic planning, responsive leadership, and a secure environment where residents can live, work, and conduct their businesses with confidence.
The chairman also stressed the importance of sustained collaboration among government, security agencies, and community stakeholders in building a peaceful and progressive society.
According to him, lasting development can only be achieved when leaders work together with residents and other stakeholders towards a common vision of peace, progress, and sustainable development.

During the operation, more than 100 suspected criminals were arrested, while a cache of dangerous weapons and illicit substances was recovered.
Items recovered by the operatives included 250 expanded cartridges, 22 machetes, five battle axes, two knives, a pair of scissors, a lighter, assorted charms, and substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
