Alimosho Local Government Area has commenced a seven-day free healthcare mission for residents.

It holds daily at the Bola Tinubu Primary Health Centr, Akowonjo, between 9am and 2pm.

The Media Aide to the chairman, Ayinde Jamiu, in a release, said residents will enjoy free consultation, HIV and STD Screening, Hepatitis B and C Screening, Blood Pressure Test and Prostate Cancer test.


The postrate cancer test is for men above 45 years and interested persons are advised to avoid sexual intercourse three days before the test.

He said healthcare experts from Cuba are currently training local government personnel on early detection of diseases such as cancer and diabetes.


“These experts will be available to attend to members of the public during this free health mission,” he said.

The health mission started on Monday 14th of October, 2019 and will end on Sunday 20th of October, 2019.
