If Nigerians could get the issue of piety right, all the country’s problem would be solved.
This was the thrust of the message at a Ramadan lecture organized by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Alimosho branch with the theme: ‘Youths and nation building, lessons from Ramadan.’
The guest lecturer, Ustaz Qasim Muhammadul Awwal, said piety was about obeying Allah and following the instruction He has given mankind.
“Your level of piety is how pleasurable you find it doing things your creator wants.
Jobs, good roads, leadership and other good things of life would not be an issue if we are pious which is what Ramadan brings,’ he said.
Ustaz Muhammadul Awwal advised the youths to look beyond selfish interests, cultural background, state and religious affiliations and allow the fear of Allah guide their affairs.
“If people know we will be asked about our decision by God, we will have a wonderful nation,’ he added.
