The Executive Chairman, Igando ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr. Akinsanya Lasisi, has charged the newly-inaugurated cabinet members to prioritize grassroots development, transparent governance and accountability to the people.

Akinsanya gave the charge at the swearing-in ceremony of Supervisory Councillors, Special Advisers and Senior Special Adviser held at the council secretariat in Ikotun on Tuesday.

The chairman described the emergence of the new appointees as a call to service and selfless leadership.

According to him, expectations of the people include basic infrastructures, good environment and security among others from his administration.

“People expectations are clear: better roads, safer streets, functioning health centres, thriving schools, modern markets, environmental sanitation, youth engagement, and community security,” he said.

The appointees expressed appreciation to the chairman for the confidence reposed in them and assured residents that the new team would work diligently to justify the trust placed in them.

“We are fully ready for this task, we give you our words and we will not let you down.”

They also pledged that the cabinet members would support the chairman’s vision for sustainable development, promising to implement programmes that would promote economic growth and social wellbeing within Igando ikotun.
