ALIMOSHO, LAGOS – The people of Alimosho may soon benefit from improved healthcare services following a renewed commitment by the Local Government and Alimosho General Hospital to work more closely in addressing the health needs of the communities.
The commitment was made when the Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alimosho General Hospital, Dr. Akinyele Akinlade, led the hospital’s management team on a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson.
Receiving the delegation, Hon. Akinpelu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a strong partnership with the hospital to improve healthcare delivery for residents across the council area.
He said the Council authorities would continue to support initiatives capable of enhancing the hospital’s operations, stressing that quality healthcare remains a top priority of his administration.
The Chairman also commended the management and staff of the General Hospital for their dedication and professionalism in providing medical care despite the growing healthcare demands of the communities.
“I sincerely commend you and your activities. I urge you to continue giving your best in delivering quality healthcare services to our people.
“As a government that prioritises the health and well-being of residents, we will identify areas of collaboration and support because healthcare remains a sector to which we give premium attention in Alimosho Local Government,” he said.
Dr. Akinlade, on his part, appreciated the Chairman for the warm reception and his commitment to improving healthcare in the council.
He assured the council that the hospital would continue to maintain a cordial relationship with the Local Government to strengthen communication, identify areas of mutual collaboration and explore opportunities that would improve healthcare services for residents.
The meeting highlighted the shared resolve of both institutions to work together in tackling healthcare challenges, improving access to quality medical services and promoting the overall well-being of people living in Alimosho.
The strengthened collaboration is expected to support better healthcare planning, improved service delivery and a more coordinated response to the health needs of the fast-growing local government area.
