…Road to Improve Access for Residents on completion
AYOBO IPAJA, LAGOS – Residents of the Koloba/Alaja community in Ayobo are set to benefit from improved road access as the Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has commenced the stone-laying of Unity Street.
The project is expected to ease movements within the community as well as support local economic activities.
To ensure the project meets the required engineering standards, the council carried out an inspection of the site. The inspection was led by the Supervisor for Works, Hon. Akinola Jimoh, alongside the Councillor representing Ward A, Hon. Babayeju Samuel.
Speaking during the visit, Jimoh said the council would not compromise on quality, assuring residents that the road would be constructed with durable materials and in line with approved specifications.
According to him, the completed road is expected to improve accessibility for residents and motorists, reduce traffic challenges, and create a better environment for businesses operating within the Koloba/Alaja axis.
Babayeju described the project as another step towards addressing the infrastructure needs of the community.
He said the council would continue to monitor the work closely to ensure it is completed according to specification and within the agreed timeline.
For many residents, the commencement of the stone-laying marks another effort by the council to improve neighbourhood roads and make daily commuting easier.
The Unity Street project forms part of the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA’s ongoing infrastructure drive under the Ijọba Irọrun agenda of the chairman, Hon. Agbaje Lukmon, which focuses on expanding road networks and improving living conditions across communities in the council area.
