Eight physically challenged individuals in Alimosho local government have been empowered with wheelchairs, courtesy of the Olorunsheyi Foundation.

The foundation donated additional two wheelchairs to the Bola Tinubu Primary Health Centre in Akonwonjo on Monday, 22nd July, 2019.

The donation was done in collaboration with the Alimosho local government.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony held at the primary health care centre, founder of the organization, Mr. Olorunsheyi Sunday, said the donation was is in commemoration of his 40th birthday.

 

He said the foundation recently supported five startup businesses with one million naira each.

It also distributed forty one GCE forms to students within Alimosho.

All these activities cut across the three cardinal points of the foundation viz Education, health and poverty alleviation.

The Chairman of Alimosho local government, Mr Jelili Sulaimon applauded the impact of Mr. Olorunsheyi on the community, describing him as “a rare specie.

We want youths and business owners to emulate him in giving back to the society.”

Mrs. Mojeeb Fumilayo, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, appreciated the kind gesture of the foundation.

The supervisory counsellor for health, AbdurRasheed Abolade, said the wheelchairs would be highly instrumental to making life easy for the beneficiaries.

While commending the foundation for the donation, Abolade urged other organizations and well meaning Nigerians to constantly engage in corporate social responsibility endeavours to assist their communities.

It will be on record that Pertinence Limited, a company owned by Mr. Olorunsheyi is currently constructing Tinuola close for the benefit of the community.
