Today, it was a gathering of Market Men/Women, Community Leaders, Spiritual Heads and Eminent Stakeholders as they were been sensitized by a delegation from the Office Of the Special Adviser to the Governor Of Lagos State on Cleaner Lagos Initiative (CLI) led by Engr. Abd. Rasheed Adebola Shabi (MNSE).
The gathering is to educate our people on proper way of disposing their wastes so as to make our environment more safer and conducive.
The Council Chairman in his welcome address welcomed the delegation and urged the stakeholders to pay total attention to the message brought to us from His Excellency, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on CLI in his address lauded the unrelenting efforts of His Excellency and stated that the main reason for this reach out is to reform the way our waste is been disposed.
He stated that we should pay no attention to the rumours that PSP were sacked but the Government want them to register so as to engage them legally than to be extorting people for the services they are not delivering.
He also charged us to be watchful in our area and appealed that we should not relent in reporting anyone caught violating the Environmental laws.
