The Igando-Ikotun Lcda Chairman Hon. Morenike Adesina Williams received the S. A TO LAGOS GOVERNOR ON CLEANER INITIATIVES HON. ADEBOLA RASHEED SHABI AND S.S.A ON LOCAL GOVT. & COMM. AFFAIRS. ALH. TAJUDEEN QUADRI earlier today said efforts were being intensified to make the local government clean and environment friendly.
Mrs Morenike stressed that the local government was not taking issues about the environment lightly because of its importance to the health of the people.
Hon Adebola indeed appreciated Executive Chairman on clearing of Drainage and evacuation of waste and refuse on Igando-Ikotun roads. This move is to complement the efforts of the State government and to make our environment clean and safe.
“We are redefining the tenets of waste management in our local government , we are effortlessly building on the foundation we laid for clean environment.
He further appealed to residents to contribute their own quota in achieving a cleaner Igando-Ikotun Lcda.
The Council Chairman further said: “Our strategies and plans of making our environment clean is all-inclusive and comprehensive.”
