The event themed, “Towards A Memorable Ramadan” was geared towards enlightening the residents on preparations and blessings embedded in the Holy Ramadan. It started with a medical check-up for all attendees.

The Director of Arabic Village, Ketu, Imam Imran Rufai, who was the Guest Speaker, enlightened the audience on the need to prepare ahead for a memorable Ramadan.

He said, “If you want to have a memorable Ramadan, you need to prepare your mind for it. During the month, there are some actions you need to take, engage in fasting, stand in prayer, give charity, and do them solely for the sake of Allah.

“One of the good deeds is tightening the bond of kinship. It makes your Ramadan memorable, as you earn a reward for it from Allah.”

The seminar also featured a nutrition and diet talk, tagged “Nutritional Tips To Have A Memorable Ramadan” anchored by Coach Aluko Jamiu Olawale, a certified nutrition expert.

Mr. Aluko gave tips on how to eat healthily during the month of Ramadan. He listed some foods one should avoid.

According to him, “If you eat inappropriately, it’ll tell on your body. We need to know the right way to prepare our food. Rice is not a food we should be eating consistently.

“Think about what stresses you, and find a drastic solution to it. If you don’t find the solution to them, they’ll break you down and affect your health. Don’t eat cooked food between 4:00am and 12 noon daily.”

Aluko listed some medical tests to be done before Ramadan.

“Check your height, weight, blood sugar, urine and stool analysis, liver and kidney function test, and a host of others.”

The event had in attendance the Chairman of the estate, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa, Alhaji Wahab, and Alhaji Shamsudeen Animashaun amongst other dignitaries
