Earnest Schools Graduates 26, Charts New Course for Growth

– As Proprietor Reaffirms Commitment to Quality Education

AYOBO, LAGOS – Earnest Schools, Ayobo, Lagos, has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality education and nurturing students for lifelong success.

The Proprietor, Mr. Ismail Ogunyomi, restated the institution’s dedication to academic excellence and transformational learning during the school’s End-of-the-Year Party and Prize-Giving Ceremony held at Onos Event Centre, Ayobo, on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Ogunyomi said the school’s mission goes beyond classroom instruction, stressing that Earnest Schools is committed to producing students who can compete successfully both nationally and internationally.

“At Earnest Schools, we are committed to effective classroom teaching, character building and lifelong mentoring. We do not just teach; we prepare our learners to fit into the larger society and compete with their contemporaries locally and globally. Alhamdulillah, our students continue to make us proud.

“In the just-concluded academic session, our primary school pupils sat for the League of Muslim School Proprietors (LEAMSP) entrance examination and recorded outstanding success. Our college students have also represented the school in various competitions with remarkable performances. Indeed, we have recorded numerous achievements for which we remain grateful to Allah.”

The proprietor disclosed that the school is already taking further steps to improve its learning environment through infrastructure expansion.

“The Earnest family has continued to grow from strength to strength, and we will not relent. We shall continue to chart new ways of delivering sound Western and Islamic education to every learner entrusted to us.

“As I speak, we are constructing additional classrooms to further enhance the teaching and learning process. The project is capital-intensive, but we are determined to provide the very best for our students. We will never compromise on quality.

“We will sincerely appreciate moral support and every other form of assistance towards the successful completion of this project.”

He also expressed confidence in the graduating class of 26 students, saying they would continue the tradition of excellence established by their predecessors.

“Earnest Keeps Getting Better” — Alumnus

Speaking on behalf of the Alumni Association Chairman, Mr. Abdus-Sami’ Falana, alumnus Mubarak Abdur-Razaq described Earnest Schools as an institution that continues to evolve positively every yea.

“It feels wonderful to be back home. We will always remain connected to Earnest Schools because this is where our journey began. Every year, the school gives us new reasons to return.
“One remarkable thing about Earnest is its continuous growth. It is not the same school it was last year. The values remain the same, the commitment remains unwavering, but the school keeps improving and becoming stronger. May Earnest Schools never experience a better yesterday.”

He also disclosed that the newly inaugurated Alumni Association has already begun working on initiatives aimed at giving back to the school.

“Although our alumni association was inaugurated only recently, the executive members have hit the ground running. We are working together to support the school that has contributed immensely to our lives. We are also exploring ways of motivating the students. In due course, our plans will begin to unfold.”

Parent Calls for Greater Support

A parent, Hajia Nasrah Babalola, urged parents to complement the school’s efforts by actively supporting both the institution and their children.

“I enrolled my children in Earnest Schools in 2018, and I have never had any cause for regret. The school has consistently maintained high standards, and the proprietor responds promptly whenever concerns are raised.

“It is important for every parent to complement the school’s efforts by providing support and encouragement at home. The best outcomes can only be achieved when what students learn in school is reinforced through their experiences at home.”

She also encouraged parents to fulfil their financial obligations through the prompt payment of school fees to enable the institution to sustain its high standards.

“Discipline Is the Price of Success” – Student

Delivering a motivational lecture during the ceremony, an SS1 student of Earnest College, Master Abdul-Hameed Abdul-Kareem, urged fellow students to embrace discipline as the foundation for lasting success.

“For every worthwhile achievement in life, there is always a price to pay. We all desire success, but true and enduring success can only be attained through discipline. Any success achieved without discipline will hardly stand the test of time.”

He encouraged students to remain focused, disciplined and committed to excellence in all their academic and personal pursuits.

The colourful ceremony featured the graduation of 26 students, presentation of prizes to outstanding learners, cultural displays and goodwill messages from parents, alumni and well-wishers, all celebrating another successful academic year for one of Alimosho’s fast-growing educational institutions.
