The Academic Excellence Initiative, AEI, has made book donations to Ifesowapo Aboru Senior Secondary school under the Agbado Oke Odo Local Council Development Area.

The educational Non Governmental Organization donated 100 AEI branded Exercise Books and 100 Story Books of different types to the school.

The AEI team, led by its Project Coordinator, Prince Adesegun Ogungbayi, was welcomed by the school Principal, Mr. Alli Babatunde and the Vice Principal, Academics, Mrs, Olabisi Olorunfunmi.

The Vice Principal (Academics), who expresssed appreciation on behalf of staff and students, said donation of the story books was timely as it would help enhance the newly launched Book Reading Club in the school.

Prince Ogungbayi, on his part, said the donation was part of AEI’s corporate social responsibility, and that the NGO had been doing the donations for a very long time.

He explained that the gesture was also meant to support the leadership of the school in order to get better results in the Senior WAEC Examination.

“We have seen clearly that your teachers have been completing the certified curriculum till date which was clearly shown in the performance of your representatives at our 2018 Award/Scholars Day where they came 4th,” he said.

While handing over the books to the school, Prince Ogungbayi announced that AEI would create time every two weeks to provide Guidance and Counselling services for SS3 students of the school.

This, according to him, would include WAEC Examination Drilling.

The AEI is an educational NGO established over a decade ago to empower the youths educationally and consequently provide avenues to enhance their individual potentials for societal development.
