The 2018 annual mathematics competition of Yeye Oge of Akesan (YOA) foundation will remain in the memory of students within the six(6) LCDAs in Alimosho Local Government Area.

YOA (Yeye Oge Akesan) Foundation was birthed out of the passion of the founder to contribute to community service, empowerment of the youth and inspiration for the girl-child.

The Foundation is committed to rendering programs and projects to positively impact the lives of the youth and
development of the society.

The grand finale of the competition held yesterday 10th November 2018.
71 schools and 213 female students across Alimosho local government area of Lagos participated in the great competition.

The grand finale saw five (5) students who qualified for the final stage: Masturah Abdul Waheed (Muslim Kids and Teen College), Ayeni Ibukunoluwa (Do Est-dot Int’l School), Ezenoye Lotachukwu (Feranmi Comprehensive High School), Oshiokpekhai Aisha (Blissful Tower College) and Dike Favour Divine (Great Lilies College) compete for the grand prize.

The Winner, Dike Divine went home with the grand prize of N100,000 worth of scholarship, a tablet phone, a new bank account worth N20,000 and books.

1st runner up Masturah went home with a tablet phone, a new bank account worth N20,000 and books.

2nd runner up Ibukunoluwa went home with a new account worth N20,000, a big binatone blender and books.

The other two finalists went home with customized bags and others consolation prizes.

Ayeni Ibukunoluwa could not hold her joy as she stepped on the stage to sing beautifully to the audience. She was tagged the Celine Dion of her generation.

The chairman of the event was Hon. Isiaka Oluwatoyin Suarau (Commissioner for Agriculture, Lagos State).

Other dignitaries present are Prof (Mrs) Adenike Boyo Of Physics Department Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos who flew in from Canada to grace the occasion, Princess Morenikeji Okwuonu(Council Manager, Mushin local government), Mr Sakiru Aromire(Head, Tax Management Sterling Bank), Yeye Oge Of Ijagemo kingdom (Chief (Mrs) Latifat Yusuf), Alhaji Jubril Aliu of Mushin local government, Mr. Sunkanmi Arowolo(Lecturer, LASU), Mr. Jimoh Jubril of Mushin Local Government, Mrs. Merotiwon Wasilat, Mr. Idris Boseere, Mrs Ogunnusi and many more.

They all immensely thanked the organizer Chief (Mrs) Aminat Ige-Afinju (Yeye Oge Of Akesan) for promoting and raising responsible & enlightened youth in order to inspire tomorrow’s leaders to lead.
