The people of Ashiwaju-Dada Town in Lagos State have commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the proactive measures his government put in place to combat the spread of Covid 19 in the state.
The people also appreciated the governor for the diplomatic approach he deployed in handling what they described as “politically-motivated and devilish” endsars protests, which almost crippled the state in October.
Speaking on behalf of the people at his palace, Baale Keinde Hassan Akerele, said Governor Sanwo Olu’s effort at stamping out Covid 19 in Lagos “and Nigeria as a whole” was uncommon, wishing the governor a quick recovery from from the disease.
“We in Ashiwaju-Dada Traditional Council Agbado Oke-Odo sees Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the most active and outstanding Governor in Nigeria for his impact in Lagos and Nigeria and therefore wish him more success in office” Baale Akerele concludes.
Akerele alleged that the EndSARs protesters were sponsored, with a mission to pull down Lagos state for selfish reason.
He also viewed the protest as an international conspiracy against Lagos State and Nigeria.
“I believe the burning down of Lagos State by hoodlums looks like international conspiracy against Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole. What is the business of CNN in our life? Your report remain baseless so far you are relying on eye witness compare to clear fact from BBC correspondents that were on ground,” Akerele was quoted in a statement issued by Prince Adesegun Ogungbayi, the Secretary to the Ashiwaju-Dada Traditional Council.
The traditional ruler, therefore, appealed to President Muhammad Buhari to assist in rebuilding Lagos state.
