A Non-governmental Organisation, Involve Africa, is holding a stakeholders Town Hall meeting over the abandoned Amikanle community primary school in Agbado-Oke Odo Local Council Development Area.
The construction of the primary school had been abandoned for almost a decade, and the NGO says it hopes to bring the project back to life and make it usable for the communities.
Tagged ‘Civic Education and Community Engagement On Social Accountability In Agbado-Oke Odo, the meeting will involve principals and stakeholders of the community, such as the Baale of the community, the Local Government Chairman.
The meeting holds on Saturday January 25, at the premises of the abandoned primary school, starting from 8am.
Through its, Strengthening Community Resistance Against Prevalence of Corruption, SCRAP – C, philosophy, Involve Africa, has been over the years, focused on revitalizing abandoned educational projects within Alimosho, Agbado Oke-Odo and Ikotun local government areas.
Involve Africa is a Pan-african youth driven NGO working to increase young people’s involvement in governance processes.
It has sponsorships from the Center for Democracy and Development, Actionaid, Ukaid and Center for Communication program Nigeria.
