Despite sensitisation campaigns on the dangers of dumping refuse in the drainages when it rains, some residents of Lagos State still perpetrate the act.

For instance, Community Standard’s Candid Lense captured some kids living at No 20 and 22, Olumo Street, Off Alabede Street, Pipeline, Aboru, under Agbado Oke Odo LCDA, emptying their refuse in the drainage during the rain this evening.

Community Standard understands that it is a habit for some of the residents in the area and environs to be dumping refuse in the drainage whenever it rains.

Flooding is a major problem in that axis. Although while the government needs to do its part in addressing the issue, residents also must do away with acts that can compound it.

Our Candid Lense is watching, and will get you soon! Unless you desist!
