Sunday 31st August, 2022 will remain memorable for the students, teachers and management of the Great Aspirations Schools, Agege, in Lagos State. And why? It was time to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the school’s existence and reward outstanding performance of students as the 2021/2022 academic session came to an end.

The event, held at the Malak’s Place Event Centre, Mangoro, Agege, attracted important dignitaries, which included the Sarkin Hausawa of Agege, Alhaji Musa Dogonkagare, the Olu of Agege, Oba Kamila Adedeji Akanni, the school proprietor, Alhaji Abdulhadii Danlasi, and the proprietor, Lagoos School, Chief Yomi Ogunnaike Otunbola.

In his welcome address, the chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Aminu, reminded the young people of the importance of education.

He urged the wealthy members of society to support education.

“Education is the best legacy we can give our children. Let’s invest in education to have the best for our children,” he said.

Chairman of the school’s Parents and Teachers Association, Eng. Bello praised the efforts made by the Management and teachers in creating a welcoming learning environment for their children.

He was grateful for the efforts made by other parents in complimenting the teachers’ efforts.

The Director of the school, Mr. Misbahudeen Yusuf, told Community Standard that the event was a moment of celebration for the school after 10 years of its existence.

“We’ll also be awarding some parents for their excellent patronage. Some parents have 7 to ten kids in our school. And we’ll give them a commendation for that,” he said.
