Residents of Raji Rasaki Street, under Agbado Oke Odo LCDA, can now heave a temporary sigh of relief from perennial flooding as the authorities have embarked on desilting of drainages in the area.
The Chairman of the LCDA, Dr. Augustine Arogundade, on Wednesday, inspected the desilting exercise, which is aimed at mitigating the problem of flooding.
The sanitation exercise is being supervised by the Vice Chairman, Engr Famuyiwa David, who is also the Supervisor for Environment.
Meanwhile, residents are seeking the attention of the LCDA authorities to urgently extend the intervention to the dilapidated Aboru iyana ipaja road.
The said road has become a nightmare to both motorists and pedestrians, who compete for available portion to navigate their way on a daily basis.
The situation gets worse during rainy season when the road gets flooded.
