Al-Mu’minaat, the Believing Women, Organisation has commiserated with the former Home Affairs Commissioner in Lagos State, Dr Abdulhakeem Abdullateef, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Risikat Balogun.
The former Commissioner had, in the early hours of Thursday, announced on his Facebook page the demise of his mother, whom he said “lived and died well.”
“It is my turn to grieve! My darling mum has just died. Inna lilahi wa inna ilaehi rajiun,” he said.
The National Amira of the Almuminaat, Nimat Abdul-Qodri, in a condolence message, extended the group’s deepest sympathies to the former commissioner and his family, praying that may the soul of Alhaja Balogun find peace with Allah.
The message reads “A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to Heaven.
“Al-Mu’minaat, (The Believing Women) Organisation commiserates with the former Commissioner for Home Affairs, Dr Abdul-Lateef Abdul-Hakeem (aka Honourable Iyepe) on the loss of his beloved mother, who passed away on Thursday, 14th May, 2020.
“Prayers and fond memories are what we have for our dearly departed. May Allah forgive her shortcomings and accept her as His righteous servant into His Jannah.
