Likeminds Academy located at Obantoko in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, recently marked its first anniversary of establishment.

The anniversary was not actually the main attraction at the well-attended event but the array of excellent results of the students within the one year of the school’s existence.

From the junior classes to the senior classes, the excellent performances of the students could not but be recognized by the management, which combined the anniversary celebration with the maiden Graduation/Prize Giving Day.

It was, indeed, a memorable occasion not only for the students and their parents but also for the management and staff of the budding academic institution.

The Board Chairman, Likeminds Academy, Prince Adesegun Ogungbayi, attributed the successes recorded within one year to the high level of morals and spirituality of the students.

These qualities, he said, made it easier for the students to attain the academic excellence being celebrated. and when they are morally and spiritually bankrupt the more distractive they becomes and the resultant effect shall be poor academic results.

Prince Ogungbayi, therefore, implored the students and parents to protect the academic pace with moral and spiritual excellence.

“I want all students to know that the 2020/2021 Academic Target is between 65% and 100%. I equally don’t want Likeminds parents to accept any mark bellow 65% as a percentage of success at this level of our uncommon children education, if they must lead us tomorrow.” Ogungbayi said.

Chairman of the occasion, Professor Taofeek Shittu, who declared the school opened a year ago, was highly delighted by its progress within one year.

The Professor of Food Science and Technology at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta FUNAAB, used the occasion to launch an ICT Center for the institution with the donation of two laptops.

The Chief Launcher, Alhaji Adebayo, launched the ICT center with chairs and laptops, and promised continuous support for the institution.

The Special Guest of Honour, an Associate Professor at FUNAAB Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Dr. Babatude Bada in his keynote address, felicitated with the institution and called parents to keep cooperating with the management of the school.

He equally launched the Likeminds ICT center with one laptop.

The Director of Likeminds Model Academy, Oladele Abdulwasiu, showcased the most outstanding students of the year 2019/2020.
