A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Enilolobo, has told his supporters and the general public to stop addressing him as ‘Alhaji.’

He is State Organising Secretary of the party.

Enilolobo, in a public announcement signed by his Personal Assistance, Alani Babatunde, says he prefers to be called by any of his names without the use of Alhaji, Mr, Honourable or chief.

“It has come to the notice of ENILOLOBO ABDULLAHI AYINDE the erroneous usage of the appellation ‘ Alhaji’ in prefix or suffix form; before or after his name hence the correction herein.

“We attest that Abdullahi performed the Hajj rites as stated in the Holy Qur’an. We also attest that he is an hajj at Mecca and Medina where he performed the rites, because the literary meaning of hajj is VISITOR, so he can’t be a VISITOR at home here in Nigeria.

“Henceforth, we appeal to the general public to pls note that Enilolobo Abdullahi Ayinde prefer u calling him by any of his name without d use of Alhaji, Mr, Hon or chief.

“We shall appreciate d strict adherence to these directives,” he said.

Enilolobo was recently appointed as the Chairman of the Mandate Movement within the APC in Lagos State.
