The Chairman of Alimosho local government, Jelili Sulaimon, has flagged off the construction of Azeez Ayorinde Street road.

The road, when completed, will serve as alternative road to Egbeda, Iyana Ipaja, and will also link the Abeokuta Express way.

It will also connect Jimoh Akinremi street road to ease movement within the communities.

The Jimoh akinremi, which is also under construction, has dragged for long,creating untold hardship for residents.

But, the chairman used the occasion of the Azeez ayorinde road construction flag off to apologize to residents saying, “we are aware of the hardship and challenges the ongoing  construction have in the community. we have had sleepless nights to ensure the work is completed as soon as possible.”

Sulaimon appealed for prompt payment of Local Government rates by residents to enable the government execute more projects.

The council Vice Chairman, Francis Adebisi called for maximum support to the contractor so that the project work be executed effectively.

The representative of Filbato Engineering, the contractor in charge of the project, Eng. Felix Ofuloso, said, “we have a duty to fix the road up to international standard. We will resume to site on Monday 17th of June 2019.”

The Chairman, Dynamic Residence Association, Mr. Abayomi Agbede, appreciated the effort of the chairman and his team for the project.

He, therefore, assured the Local Government of maximum support.

The project, which covers drainage, and road interlocking will be completed in the next six months.
